A mosque where mana greats are together
The mosque is believed to have been built on a date before 1675. It is unknown who have it built. It was built of rubble stone with mortar. Its roof is tiled on wood. The mosque is called as Hepkebirler because of the tombs lying adjacent to its north and west.
Among the nine tombs on the left side of the entrance of the mosque, the owner of the middle cist is known as Samur Dede. The owners of the other cists are unknown. One of the four tombs in the west is believed to belong to the Companion Kays’ul Hemadanî Asgar, who set out for the conquest of Istanbul with Abu Ayyub al-Ansari in Istanbul and somehow found his way to Kastamonu.
