Gideros Bay, with its magnificent beach and incredible nature, at the junction of blue and green, myth and reality, is just the place for those who have pure tastes in vacation.

The bay is located in the vicinity of the ancient city of Cytorus (Cide).

There are ruins belonging to ancient period in Gideros Bay and the surrounding hills, in the places where heroic people of Hesets from Cytorus (Cide) once lived, and who fought on the side of the Trojans in the Homer’s Iliad.

It is clear that Gideros Bay once served as an important and sheltered harbor for Cytorus and perhaps as a shipyard.
