İnebolu Kent Müzesi (İnebolu Cıty Museum)

 Sanal Tur'a Giriş

Reliving the spirit of the War of Independence

The building was built as a madrasah in 1882 by Abdurrahman Pasha, the Governor of Kastamonu during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II.

In the following years, the building was used as a municipality building, and after a fire, it was put into service as İnebolu City Museum in 2014.

On the Road to Independence, the Turkish War of Independence is kept alive for its visitors with a separate presentation on each floor and in each room of the facility, which serves under the name of İnebolu City Museum.

Wax sculptures, each of which was carefully prepared, added a different vitality to the presentations and brought the City Museum to a different level.

In particular, the wax representation of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is one of the most lifelike depictions in Turkey.

This city museum, which befits İnebolu, Turkey’s only city with the White Ribbon Independence Medal, is also located at the beginning of the 95-kilometer Independence Road, a trekking trail.

The historical artifacts inside the museum, all of which are original, have a diversity and presentation power that you cannot see even in the big museums of Turkey.

Come, see and experience it for yourself...
